In a small village, there lived two good friends — Raju and Sohan. They had been playing, studying, and sharing each other’s joys and sorrows since childhood. Raju was very hardworking, while Sohan was a little lazy. But both had a big heart for each other.
One day, a big fair was held in the village. Both friends decided to go to the fair together. There were many shops, swings, and food stalls at the fair. The two friends were very happy and were enjoying the atmosphere.
When they went to the swings, Raju said to Sohan, “Come, let’s both go on the highest swing together.” Sohan, a little scared, replied, “No, I am afraid.” Raju reassured him, saying, “Don’t worry, I am with you. There is nothing to be afraid of.”
Raju held Sohan’s hand and encouraged him to climb onto the swing. As the swing rose higher, Sohan’s heart started pounding, but Raju comforted him and gradually gave him courage. After a while, Sohan realized that fear was just an illusion of the mind. He felt happy while swinging and thanked Raju.
After the fair was over, both friends were returning home. On the way, Sohan said to Raju, “You have taught me the meaning of true friendship today. I never need to be afraid of my weaknesses as long as you are with me.” Raju smiled and said, “This is what friendship means, my friend. As long as we continue supporting each other, no difficulty can defeat us.”
After this incident, Sohan gave up his laziness and started working hard like Raju. The two friends always remained by each other’s side and faced the challenges of life together.
Lesson: True friendship is one that supports each other in times of difficulty and gives each other confidence and courage.
