To teach various skills to students like leadership, patience, discipline,team efforts, social skills  to increase confidence, mental alertness, and self-esteem, DAV Patiala organized the Inter House Volleyball Competition. In which many students from 9 to 12 class (senior category), 6 to 8 class (junior category) participated with zeal and spirit of sportsmanship.
The whole arena was reverberating with enthusiasm as the players of the four houses Maharishi Dayanand House, Mahatma Hansraj House, Swami Vivekanand House and Gurudev Tagore House competed on the volleyball court to lead their house for victory & glory The results are as follows:-
Winners-Mahatma Hansraj House (Senior category), Maharishi Dyanand House(Junior Category)
Runner ups-Swami Vivekanand House (Senior Category), Mahatma Hansraj House(junior Category)
“Talent wins games, but teamwork and intelligence win championships, uttering these words ,Principal Vivek Tiwari motivated the budding sportsmen in the conclusion ceremony. He further added that playing sports helps children learn to control their emotions and channel negative feelings in a positive way. He applauded the efforts put in by the Physical Education teachers Mr Lal Singh, Mr Pritpal Singh and Ms Nitima Rani .
