Deputy Commissioner of Patiala, Ms. Sakshi Sawhney, visited the Head Post Office Patiala today to motivate the postal staff and encourage them to perform their best.

She mentioned that the festival of love and affection between sisters and brothers, known as “Raksha Bandhan,” is just around the corner. Sisters express their feelings of love and affection for their brothers by tying specially designed and colorful sacred threads on their brothers’ wrists on this day.

Sakshi Sawhney emphasized that for those who cannot visit their brothers in person, India Post provides assistance in conveying their feelings and sentiments through “Rakhi Mail.”

Prabhat Goyal, Superintendent of Post Offices, Patiala Division, informed the DC that more than 1000 Rakhi Mails are posted and delivered on a daily basis by the Patiala Postal Division.
