PATIALA, JANUARY 26: Every spectator in the stadium was drawn to the tableaus that the Punjab government sent out on Republic Day, which featured scenes from Punjab’s rich past and culture, as well as the martyrs who gave their lives to defend the nation. As the primary visitor at the Republic Day event, Punjab Governor Banwarilal Purohit unfurled the national flag, examined the parade, saluted the march past, and observed the tableaus. The 13 tableaus that were a part of the state-level event began with the tableau that the Punjabi government sent, which showed the role that Punjabis had played in the nation’s fight for independence.
This included Ajit Singh, Baba Kharak Singh, Madan Lal Dhingra, Dr. Diwan Singh Kalepani, Kamagata Maru, Lala Lajpat Rai, Shaheed Sukhdev, Lala Hardial, and Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Kartar Singh Sarabha, Udham Singh, and Baba Sohan Singh Bhakna. The achievements of the girls trained by Mai Bhago Armed Forces Preparatory Institute for Girls and ‘Nari Shakti’ (Mai Bhago, the first great Sikh Jangju Bibi) in many professions were showcased in the second tableau delivered by the Punjab government.
The third tableau presented Punjab’s rich cultural legacy. Tableaux from various departments demonstrated how 664 Aam Aadmi Clinics throughout the state and the Health Department’s Healthy Punjab initiative transformed government hospitals for a whopping Rs 550 crore under the slogan “Health Facilities at Your Doorstep, Brought by the Punjab Government.” In order to provide the students in the eleventh and twelfth grades at the School of Eminence with a creative setting in which to create a new future, information regarding the unique camp for the preparation of medical, JE, and engineering examinations was presented through the fifth tableau.
The Department of Agriculture emphasised agricultural diversification and stubble management in the sixth tableau. The Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) displayed zero electricity invoices totaling 2.33 crore for 19,300 customers in the seventh table.
The Department of Social Security, Women, and Child Development emphasised the contributions made by Patiala girls in a number of disciplines in the eighth tableau. The Department of Forests showcased the 61 thousand tube wells and around 1 lakh 80 thousand saplings under the Forest Department Patiala programme, which aims to plant three trees on each tube well, in the ninth tableau.
The Department of Child Protection illustrated every hand pen in School on Wheels and My Childhood Project. The police department’s data indicated that 1,41,060 services were offered to the general public via the Saanjh Kendras.
The administrative reform tableau showed the doorstep delivery programme that the Punjab government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, launched to give the populace better administrative amenities.
