Dr. Balbir Singh, the Minister of Health and Family Welfare, Medical Education, and Research in Punjab, has invited us. He wants us to learn from the life of Lord Valmiki ji. He encourages us to rise above the caste-fraternity. We should also resolve to come forth to help each other. This includes living with mutual brotherhood and harmony in society.


Today, Health Minister Dr. Balbir Singh arrived to take part in the grand satsang and closing ceremony of the Shobha Yatra. Valmiki Dharma Sabha organized the event at Lahori Gate, Gandhi Nagar, Patiala. It was held to commemorate the birth anniversary of Lord Valmiki Ji. The health minister participated in this event and represented the entire Punjab government. He prayed at the feet of Lord Valmiki. He sought the progress of the state, mutual brotherhood, and peace. Patiala MLA Ajitpal Singh Kohli was also present with him.
Health Minister Dr. Balbir Singh said that just as Lord Valmiki helped the helpless, downtrodden, and needy people. We should take guidance from his life. We should come ahead to do good to society. He said that the teachings of Maharishi Bhagwan Valmiki teach us to keep mutual brotherhood and harmony.
Dr. Balbir Singh stated that the Chief Minister, Bhagwant Singh, will attend a state-level ceremony in Amritsar. This event marks the apparition day of Lord Valmiki ji at the Lord Valmiki memorial site. He will pay homage and respect to the late poet Lord Valmiki.
MLA Ajitpal Singh Kohli initiated the grand procession in the evening. He credited Bhagwan Maharishi Valmiki ji as the creator of the epic Ramayana. This saga tells the story of Lord Sri Ram. Valmiki ji is also known as Adi Kavi. Mother Sita lived in his ashram, and Lord Valmiki taught her sons Lav and Kush.
Meanwhile, Bhagwan Valmiki Dharma Sabha President Rajesh Kumar Kala, Chairman Jitinder Kumar Prince, and General Secretary Sanjay Tank were present. Treasurer Manoj Kumar Mattu and Health Minister Dr. Honoured Balbir Singh also attended. MLA Ajitpal Singh Kohli was in attendance as well.
In the event, DIG Mandeep Singh Sidhu, Deputy Commissioner Dr. Preeti Yadav, SSP Dr. Nanak Singh, Commissioner Municipal Corporation Dr. Rajat Ubrai, Joint Commissioner Babandeep Singh Walia and Deepjot Kaur, Civil Surgeon Dr. Several individuals attended the event.
