Deputy Commissioner Patiala Sakshi Sahni has urged the district residents to take advantage of the newly launched ‘Mera Bill’ app of the tax department launched by Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann. He said that citizens can win 290 prizes worth up to 29 lakh rupees every month under the ‘Bil Layo, Inam Pao’ scheme by getting the bill of the purchased goods and services.

On the occasion of the launch of the Mera Bill’ app today, Deputy Commissioner Sakshi Sahni launched the campaign to make people aware of it in Patiala district. They were accompanied by Divisional Commissioner of State Tax Ramanpreet Kaur, Assistant Commissioner Kannu Garg, and the SDM. Dr. Ismat Vijay Singh was also present.
Sakshi Sahni appealed to the people that while buying any goods, they must get the bill from the dealer and upload the bill by registering with the mobile app Mera Bill, launched under the ‘Bil Layo, Inam Pao’ scheme. A draw will be made every month from these uploaded bills. He said that Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann has started this scheme to raise the awareness of customers in the public interest.
State Tax Divisional Commissioner Ramanpreet Kaur said that petrol and liquor bills will not be able to be uploaded on this Mera Bill app, while consumers will be able to upload bills of any other item above the value of Rs 200. He said that under the leadership of Punjab Tax and Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema, 290 prizes will be drawn every month at the state level, and 10 prizes will be given in each district.
Assistant Commissioner of State Tax, Kannu Garg, said that on the first day of this campaign, people were made aware of the ‘Bil Liyao, Inam Pao’ scheme and Mera Bill app in Patiala district today. He said that today at Swami Vivekananda Institute of Engineering Rajpura, Ripudaman College Nabha, and Government College for Girls Patiala, students were made aware of the ‘Bring Bill, Pay Reward’ scheme.

Red Cross St. John Patiala organized a first aid training camp

Patiala, September 1:
According to the instructions of Red Cross National Headquarters Delhi, an eight-day first aid training camp was organized by District Red Cross/St. John Ambulance, Patiala, and after the completion of the camp, the students were given an online paper and a practical test related to first aid. 30 students participated in this first-aid training camp.

Secretary Red Cross Patiala Dr. Pritpal Singh Sidhu said that the purpose of this camp organized under the patronage of Deputy Commissioner Patiala Sakshi Sahni is to help common people in emergency situations like road accidents, accidents in factories, fire accidents, snake bites, and natural calamities. It is to save human lives by providing first aid in cases of gas leakage or in cases of war.
He further said that by taking this training, where the students can save lives by giving first aid to their relatives, they can also create a good society by providing their good services to it.
He said that any interested person can get first aid by becoming a part of the eight-day first aid training camp, and the person who passes the first aid training can also get a certificate issued by the Red Cross National Headquarters, Delhi. is This first aid training certificate is internationally recognized, and eight days of first aid training have been mandated by the Government of India for conductor licenses, driving licenses for heavy vehicles, and factory workers in India.
