Patiala, December 7:
Anuprita Johal, Additional District Magistrate, Patiala, exercised her powers under Section 144 of the Penal Code, 1973 (Act No. 2 of 1974) within the limits of District Patiala to maintain law and order in the district and maintain peace in the public interest. Carrying firearms, ammunition, explosives, inflammable items, and sharp weapons like maces, spears, tridents, etc. in public places is prohibited. These orders will remain in force in the district until February 5, 2024. This order shall not apply to disabled or elderly persons (who cannot walk without the support of a walking stick) or security personnel or police personnel on duty.
A prohibition order was issued on carrying ammunition, explosives, and sharp weapons in public places in the district.
