To control pollution, the program has also banned the bursting of firecrackers. These orders will remain in force in the district until August 5, 2024.
According to the orders passed by the Government of Punjab, Department of Home Affairs and Justice, and the Hon’ble Punjab and Haryana High Court in Civil Writ Petition No. 23548 of 2017, there is a ban on the bursting of firecrackers in order to control the problem of air pollution. It is very important. A complete ban on firecrackers should be imposed, especially at weddings, other festive occasions, or any event in which firecrackers are set off, should be imposed to protect the environment as well as the health of the general public.
