It is commendable that Jan Hit Samiti conducted a half marathon under Drug Free Punjab and Rangla Punjab. Dr. Balbir Singh Said, the Punjab government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Maan, launched a war against drugs.
The participation of more than a thousand youth in the half-marathon against drugs is encouraging. Baltej Pannu Patiala, December 3:
Jan Hit Samiti, a renowned social service organization in Patiala district, organized a half-marathon against drugs with the support of Patiala Police. Attending the occasion as the chief guest, Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr. Balbir Singh said that the Jan Hit Samiti will make Punjab and Rangla drug-free. The half marathon organized in Punjab against drugs is a commendable initiative.
Encouraging the youth to stay away from drugs and take an interest in sports, the Health Minister said that the Punjab government has waged a war against drugs under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann.
While presiding over the program, Chief Minister’s Media Director Baltej Pannu said that it is a commendable initiative of the Jan Hith Samiti to organize a marathon with a large number of youth to mobilize the youth against drugs. He should come forward for social service work like Samiti. Padmashri Jagjit Singh Dardi was also present with him.
Chairman PRTC Ranjodh Singh Hadana and SP Muhammad Sarfaraj Alam inaugurated this half marathon under the leadership of Samiti President SK Gautam and General Secretary Vinod Sharma.
General Secretary Vinod Sharma said that more than a thousand Nojwanas participated in this half marathon in 21 km, 10 km, and 5 km races, and cash prizes were also given to the winners. On this occasion, Tejinder Mehta, Director Punjab State Industry, Colonel Jaivinder Singh, Jasbir Singh Gandhi, Pradeep Joseon, Manjit Singh Brar, Abdul Wahid, DSP Sanjeev Singla, Jaswinder Singh Tiwana, and Colonel Singh, Suman Batra, Dr. Sudhir Verma, and Member Dasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan Shahide Azam Sardar Bhagat Singh State Youth Award Winner Parminder Bhalwan President Youth Federation of India and Governor Awardee Jatwinder Grewal, State Awardee Rupinder Kaur, Jagtar Singh Jaggi Block President AAP, Kundan Gogia, Inspector Jaspreet Singh Kahlo, Survinder Singh Chhabra, Professor Ashok Verma, Prem Sharma Boxing Coach, Gurpreet Singh Gopi Coach, Lt. Jagdeep Singh Joshi, Lt. Amit Kumar, Satish Joshi, Rudra Pratap Singh, Paras Ram, Kunal Kapoor, Dev Dutt, Dr. Bhagwant, Dr. Gorwar, Rames Malhotra, Ram Kumar, Ravi, Upkar Singh were also present.
