Governor Banwarilal Purohit unfurls tricolour at Patiala on the occasion of state-level Republic Day function

On this occasion, in his message to the residents of the state, the Governor of Punjab extended his heartfelt congratulations on Republic Day and termed this day a day to celebrate and honour our nation and our sovereignty. Earlier, the Governor paid tribute to the war martyrs of the Indian Army by visiting the Patiala State Force and the Black Elephant War Memorial. Mr. Anurag Verma, DGP, the Punjab Chief Secretary, was with him on this occasion. Mr. Gaurav Yadav, Deputy Commissioner Sakshi Sahni, and S.S.P. Varun Sharma were also present. Mr. Banwari Lal Purohit mentioned the great patriotic warriors and said that due to the huge sacrifices of millions of freedom fighters, we got freedom, and this republic was built. He said Babasaheb, Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, along with B.N. He specifically mentioned Rao and expressed his respect for all of the Constituent Assembly’s members before saying that we should make a commitment today to follow in the footsteps of these outstanding individuals. Mr. Banwari Lal Purohit invited the Punjabis to cooperate with the government for the eradication of corruption, just as they contributed to the liberation of the country. He said that the scourge of corruption is hollowing out our society. That’s why he himself has written a letter to the higher authorities and insisted on taking action for a clean, transparent, and corruption-free administration. Mentioning the many challenges facing Punjab, including drugs from across the border, Mr. Banwari Lal Purohit invited Punjabis to mobilise to save our youth from drugs and support the state government in the war against drugs.

The governor said that he is convinced of the success of Punjabis because once they decide to do something, they die after completing it. Mr. Banwari Lal Purohit mentioned ‘Pagdi Savanha Jatta Pagadi Savanha Oy’ and invited the residents of the state to contribute to the progress, development, and progress of Punjab. Varun Sharma, ADCJ Anupreeta Johal, Navreet Kaur Sekhon, SDM Dr. Ismat Vijay Singh, Jeevanjot Kaur, Deepjot Kaur, Kannu Garg, Naman Markann, Babandeep Singh Walia, and a large number of other personalities, including Patiala residents, teachers, and students, were also present.
