Meeting for identifying sensitive and extremely sensitive polling stations in Patiala Lok Sabha constituency

Deputy Commissioner Patiala, December 19: In view of the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections, Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Election Officer Sakshi Sawhney held a meeting with the Election Officers of all the Assembly Constituencies to identify the sensitive polling stations in Patiala Lok Sabha constituency. The Deputy Commissioner said that, as per the instructions of the Election Commission of India, all the polling stations in Patiala Lok Sabha constituency should be thoroughly surveyed, and all the election officers, along with the DSPs of their respective constituencies, should prepare a list of sensitive and hypersensitive polling stations in coordination with each other. Issuing instructions to all the officers to take the orders of the Election Commission of India seriously,

Sakshi Sawhney said that the sector officers of civil and police will visit their areas and prepare the list based on the violence at the polling stations during the last elections, the police cases registered, and other important aspects. She said that a detailed plan of checkpoints, static checkpoints, forces coming from outside, and other aspects should be prepared in the Lok Sabha constituency.

Prominent among those present included MC Commissioner Karnesh Sharma, Additional Deputy Commissioner Vishesh Sarangal, Jasbir Singh, DCP Arun Saini, SDM Rahul Sindhu, MC Joint Commissioner Harcharan Singh, PUDA EO Navneet Kaur Bal, GM DIC Sukhpal Singh, Khadi Board Director Major Singh, Malwinder Singh Lucky, and others. Deputy Commissioner Sakshi Sawhney holds a meeting to prepare a list of sensitive and hypersensitive polling stations in view of preparations for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
